Residents Awareness and Emergency Preparedness Guide
The LEPC in conjunction with Delaware County Emergency
Services and County Council have created a
two
page foldout guide for residents containing information on emergency
preparedness. The guide includes useful information on what to do in the event
that you need to take shelter or evacuate.
The guide includes useful information on "what to do in case of an emergency,"
sheltering, evacuation guidance, family sheltering and evacuation supplies,
public shelters and preparing your pet in the event of an emergency.
This is the second edition of the guide. If you have suggestions for future
editions, please let use know by using the feedback link.
Special Alerting Project
The
Delaware County LEPC is currently involved in a Special Project to address the
issue of "PUBLIC NOTIFICATION and ALERTING" throughout Delaware County.
Significant research has already been conducted and surveys taken among the
Public, Business, and First Responders, in order that the most efficient
Alerting System can be designed and implemented within budgetary constraints.
Conoco-Phillips of Trainer has been a major contributor to this
Project.
More information will be available to the PUBLIC regarding this Project in
the near future.
YOUR BEST COURSE OF ACTION IS TO "BE PREPARED".
