AM Radio Station Notification System
– The Delaware County LEPC acquired funding
through Conoco Phillips of Trainer to develop an AM Radio Station which will
enable accurate and up-to-date information to the Citizens of Delaware
County during an Emergency Event. Current and continual updates, insures the
Public is well informed as to the best response actions. It is anticipated
that The AM Station will also be linked to a Web Site to insure the ability
to check the status of an event from anywhere with internet access.
Engineering has begun and FCC licensing has initiated.
Grants
-
The LEPC has applied for a grant through Port Security
to enhance the development of the AM radio station and to conduct additional
portions of the County Commodity Flow Study.
SARA Title III Facilities
- The LEPC worked throughout 2011 to update all facility response plans. The LEPC annually
requests updates to the facility information but this year with Pennsylvania’s PATTS and the
Knowledge Center systems purported to be available updated facility plan information will be requested.
The program has extended into 2012 and will include developing an emergency plan template and inserting
facility information into the county Knowledge Center program.

Residents Awareness and Preparedness Guide
- is being updated and the 4th Edition should be available in September. Any comments for improvement should be forwarded to:
info@lepc.org. New Castle County, DE and Chester County have published similar guides.
